Meet Liz Davies, she has written the first guest post on this site and I thought that it was very important to let you all know how important guest blogging is. When I first started blogging I read a lot about guest posting on other blogs and how great it was, but since I was new to blogging I had no idea how to get another blog to allow me to write a post for them. Before we tackle this let’s look at two of the most important reasons why writing guest post on other blogs is a good thing for you to do.
Two Major Reasons To Write A Guest Post
1.Traffic
Guest blogging is a great way to build up traffic to your own blog. Not only can you leave one or two links in the post that lead back to your website but if the guest post is interesting enough you can acquire new readers to your blog.
2.Credibility
The more you write for other more well established blogs the more credibility you earn for yourself as someone who can be trusted and knows what they are talking about regarding your subject matter.
How To Get Another Blog To Let You Write For Them
In truth most blogs are looking for people to write guest post for them. The way I started guest posting was simple, I just contacted the owner of the blog I wanted to post and asked them I I could write an article for them. I had already written an article that I thought was perfect for the site so when the said yes I just sent it over. They liked the post and posted it on their website a couple of week later. Since then I have written several guest post for that site (famousbloggers.net) and have gotten offers from other popular blogs for me to write for them. I have also been turned down when requesting to guest post. I did not let this stop me I just kept asking other blogs until I got a yes.
A final note about guest posting
When you write a guest post make sure you are giving away your best content. I spend an enormous amount of effort on guest post because I want to honor the fact that I am allowed to post on my host’s blog and you will only attract readers to your blog if you write quality posts.
