SpreadLove.org Hacked!
Fresh off the plane from filming in Miami for Vitamin Water, I woke up yesterday morning ready to get into my routine of spreading love. If you don’t know I built a website called SpreadLove.org to help promote the spreading of anonymous love via email.
You can use the Love Vine tool to send an anonymous email to someone in your life you know is going through a rough time. Every morning I use spreadlove.org to send messages to help inspire and encourage my friends and family. Yesterday however when I got to the website I got an image said”Hacked By Stupid Hacker”.
(What the spreadlove.org currently looks like)
Now I know I don’t have to tell you how Zero Cool this is (like that? Hack The Planet!). The website was created to help inspire people and some hacker has to go swamping out my index page. I don’t mind that the website got hacked, it just forces me to learn about internet security and *rolls up his sleeves* possibly get into some of the cyber dark arts myself (of course I would only use my powers for good. Like defending myself against Mr. Stupid Hacker.)
When building spreadlove.org I knew it would be a perfect target for Trolls. In this sense a Troll is not an ugly, wart faced behemoth waiting for you under the bridge. But a Troll is a person who just likes to mess things up for laughs. Most of the time they are very intelligent and capable individuals who can do serious damage. Other times they are just unloved adolescence who need a hug, a girl/boy friend or a good ass kicking. However, Mr.Stupid Hacker (I add Mr. out of respect because he did get the best of one of my sites and I’m hoping that he has moved on to better things than toying with me.) if he/she is a Troll has to be of the first kind.
The Fix
In order to fix Mr.Stupid Hackers handy work I am going to update my Word Press and change servers, then re-upload my backed up site files. That should do the trick.
