50 Best Pablo Picasso Paintings and Art Work

50 Best Pablo Picasso Paintings and Art Work

Pablo Picasso is arguable the most famous artist ever. I recently visited his exhibit at the MoMA and was inspired to finish this post. Below is a collection of paintings and sculptures that I think are amazing. I hope you enjoy them and if you do leave me a comment and let me know. Other than that have a very wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Born October 25, 1881 – Died April 8, 1973.

“Everyone wants to understand art. Why don’t we try to understand the song of a bird? Why do we love the night, the flowers, everything around us, without trying to understand them? But in the case of a painting, people think they have to understand. If only they would realize above all that an artist works of necessity, that he himself is only an insignificant part of the world, and that no more importance should be attached to him than to plenty of other things which please us in the world though we can’t explain them; people who try to explain pictures are usually barking up the wrong tree.” -Picasso

About Mr.Chichester

Is a blogger, entrepreneur, and digital marketer. He is currently the Social Media Marketing Director @ PHILO www.playphilo.com. When he is not blogging about social media, he can be found playing with sharp objects and spreading love (not at the same time of course).

  • nothingprofound

What a versatile painter! He referred to himself not as an artist, but as a public entertainer, someone who had simply understood his times.

    • http://playphilo.com Mr.Chichester

He is amazing. He also said, “Good artists borrow, great artists steal.” which I don’t know if I agree with but I think shows his deep understanding of human nature.

he once quoted “i draw what i think, not what i see” … just saying i really like that quote :) it shows that his mind didn’t fit the mould of the conventional human mind

    • http://playphilo.com Mr.Chichester

Yeah, that is a nice quote. It is brave to follow ones own mind, because the world tries to force you to do the opposite. Thanks for sharing. You gave me a new quote. ;-)

Picasso’s final works were a mixture of styles, his means of expression in constant flux until the end of his life. Devoting his full energies to his work, Picasso became more daring, his works more colorful and expressive, and from 1968 through 1971 he produced a torrent of paintings and hundreds of copperplate etchings.
